The majority of participants come from abroad: 88% or 6600 international cyclo-fans.

Participants of the LEPAPE Marmotte Granfondo Alps have often spent hours and hours on their bike training to be able to finish on the legendary Alpe d’Huez, whilst conquering 21 hairpin bends. It demands courage, dedication and determination to even attempt this challenge across Glandon, Télégraphe, Galibier and Alpe d’Huez.

The sequence of 5 of the most legendary passes in France: the Glandon, the Telegraph, the Galibier, the Lautaret, and finally the final ascent of Alpe d’Huez.
