Medical certificate, licence and insurance

Licence

A competitive cycling licence or medical certificate is mandatory to participate in the Granfondo and/or Grimpée de l’Alpe.

We accept the following licences:

Competitive licence delivered by the FFC
Valid competitive licence delivered by UFOLEP Cycling
Valid competitive licence delivered by FSGT Cycling
Valid competitive licence delivered by FFTri (only for females)

Medical certificate

The presentation of a medical certificate mentionning the “absence of any contra indication to take part in competitive cycling events” dated less than a year before the event takes place is mandatory for participants with no valid competitive cycling licence.

In the ‘Randonée’ format, of which the Ultrafondo and Rando des Marmottes are a part, the medical certificate or competitive cycling licence is not mandatory but suggested.

In absence of these documents, any registration for the Granfondo format will be converted into a ‘Randonnée’ format.

Insurance

Each competitor must have his or her own insurance (FFC competition licence or supplementary insurance) for personal injury and material damage, and remains solely responsible for any incident, accident or breach of the event regulations.

We offer additional insurance which you can take out when you register.
